So what are the 4 Link Building Techniques?

Contextual backlinks from relevant content. The link should come to from the same niche as to where it links to. The contextual links should be meaningful.

Based on my research, I’ve found that when the content supportive of the linking page ranks boost.

So if you are linking to rank for “seo consultant”, get the links from another web services blog and the article should talk about SEO consultancy and how it can help business websites.

2. Exchange backlinks with similar websites. This is going to be very helpful and a very cost-effective way. You will just have to exchange some articles and publish on each other’s blogs. The Pagination & Duplicate Content Issue is the huge case and early this year’s Google update picked up on that. I started to look at this deep since one of our clients EOT Cleaning ranks dropped on SERP’s for “end of tenancy cleaning London” because they were having many pages with the similar meaning.

What’s bad is having pages with exactly the same content. That’s what happened when you have a blog. Becuase the blog page is one page and actual blog post page is one more page.

For example, on this page, https://www.end-of-tenancy-london.co.uk/blog/ displays the blogs (In this blog as summaries) and check this > https://www.end-of-tenancy-london.co.uk/our-eot-cleaning-fees-infographic/ it also displays as a page.

Now let’s look at this more closely.

Check this blog http://www.jewel-paula.com/ the blog posts are on the home page right? – That’s a page and you can see the articles are fully displayed on the home page.

And if you clicked on a blog post, say http://www.jewel-paula.com/modern-wardrobe-designs/ the same also shows on the page. Google bots pick this up as two pages having the same content.

What is the structure of a URL?

The keyword is focused and closer to the root domain. In this case, this is a blog post. However if you want to know the best URL structure that get’s the optimal SEO advantages, Google search for keywords like “seo consultant London” or “Facebook Advertising consultant” or even “ppc consultant london” and see how the ClickDo.co.uk pages that rank are having the URL structure.

What do you notice?

All having the core keyword on the domain!

Now if you are starting a brand new website for a local business. Then try to get the domain with the city name on it’s URL as it really helps to get after ranks in your location where the business is operating.

Make the URL easily readable – Keyword Focused
Make The URL Shorter – So it’s easily readable
If you have multiple URLs serving the same content (Or even similar) make sure to canonicalize by using a rel=canonical or a 301 redirect.
Have static URLs on your local business web pages
Avoid having numbers as that does not make any sense to users or search engines.
Use hyphens if you still can get the keyword for your rood domain URL. As I showed on EOT Cleaning website URL > https://www.end-of-tenancy-london.co.uk and also https://www.london-junk.co.uk that becomes > https://www.junkhunters.co.uk **Click to https://www.london-junk.co.uk to see the 301.
